Newest Mindgasms Quickie reaction to the newest and final trailer for the upcoming “The Matrix Resurrections,” the fourth movie in the famous science fiction Matrix series. I talk about my predictions for what will happen philosophically and spiritually, since there are deep philosophical and spiritual themes throughout the films. I also discuss other possible directions that the story could go, and give my thoughts on Jared Bauer’s theories in his prediction video on his Youtube channel to the first trailer for Resurrections. Jared has talked about philosophy with me a few times before on my channel, and he is formerly from Wisecrack, the channel that explores philosophy through the lens of art and popular culture like video games, movies, and TV shows.
Mindgasms Quickie that is my reaction/review of the new Dune movie, the latest adaptation based on the famous classic sci-fi fantasy novel by Frank Herbert, the first in the original series. I compare the film to the book along with other movie adaptations, and evaluate the pros and cons of the changes that were made, particularly in relation to the characters. I also talk about the fact that there has to be, and it has now been confirmed, that there will be at least one sequel. This wouldn’t work as a standalone film, especially since it ends in a major cliffhanger, and only covers about the first half of the novel.

Check out my last Mindgasms Podcast with Jared Bauer, formerly of the Youtube channel called Wisecrack, where they explore philosophy in movies, video games, TV shows and popular culture. We discuss the famous philosopher named Slavoj Zizek, a self-proclaimed Hegelian, Lacanian and Marxist. He is probably most well-known to the non-philosophy-nerd public for having debated the famous clinical psychologist, Youtuber and self-help author, Jordan Peterson, about Marxism, capitalism and Postmodernism. Jared and I talk about Zizek’s debate with Peterson, his interesting position on ideology, along with how the philosopher, Hegel, political and economic theorist, Marx, and psychoanalyst, Lacan, influenced him. We also discus other cool ideas of Zizek.
