It’s about a company led by Tom Hanks’ character who after the assault on D-Day of World War 2, are ordered to search NAZI-occupied France for a family’s last surviving son whose three other brothers died in combat.

The plot thickens. A cop has infiltrated the game, posing as an employee/soldier. There also is a doctor who is spying and participating in the game, while really working with the employees/soldiers. He also is running a secret scheme with them on the side to sell the dead players’ organs. We discover the identity of the Front Man as well, and find out who is in charge of the whole operation, above the Front Man in the hierarchy. The final game comes down to the last 2 survivors, who have to decide whether they are willing to murder in order to pay off their debts. The question of whether people are fundamentally good or bad, or a complex mixture of both, is also answered.
