Mindgasms Quickie: Gollum and Sam Are the TRUE HEROES of The Lord of the Rings

Newest Mindgasms Quickie about how and why Gollum and Sam are the true and most important heroes in The Lord of the Rings, the classic epic fantasy novel/trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. Frodo would have been unable to destroy the ring without the unshakeable dedication of Sam, along with the rage and craving for it that caused Gollum to accidentally destroy it. Not only did Sam take care of Frodo more and more as the story progressed, he carried the ring for a short period of time without being corrupted by it at all when he thought that the latter had been killed by Shelob. He even literally carried Frodo on his back up Mount Doom! Bilbo sparing Gollum’s life when he had the opportunity to kill him in The Hobbit was necessary so that the latter could lead Sam and Frodo into Mordor, then eventually bite the ring off of Frodo’s finger and fall into the fires of Mount Doom, destroying it:

I personally am very anti-war, but I am not anti-military or anti-soldier because one of my best friends is in the Canadian military, whose life has been dramatically improved by joining it. Also, this is a clear example of how the military can actually accomplish admirable goals. If people are looking to sacrifice themselves for a noble cause, this is a perfect one. Saving and helping people is much more worthwhile than killing people. I made this video in honour of Remembrance Day here in Canada, also known as Veteran’s Day in the U. S:

Check out my Quickie about The Fall of Gondolin: Tolkien’s EPIC Fantasy War: Balrogs, Dragons, Dark Eleves, Demons and Orcs VS. Wizards, Gods, Light Elves and Men. It all takes place in the First Age of Middle Earth. The Lord of the Rings is the end of the third age. it becomes the Fourth Age right at the conclusion of the story. In The Fall of Gondolon, Tuor, Prince of Men and grandfather of Elrond (because the latter is half-Elven), is main character. Gandalf and Legolas have cameos, and Glorfindel is a principle character, who kills the Lord of the Balrogs (head Balrog), gets murdered himself in the process, then gets resurrected later and helps save Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin from the Ringwaiths in The Fellowship of the Ring. Also, Malkior is the leader of Morgoth’s armies who attack Gondolin. And Aerendil helps Tuor capture and imprison Morgoth after (they think) they killed all the balrogs, and all the dragons except two of them. One of them has to be Smaug, in The Hobbit. I wonder who the other one is. Tuor dies and loses his silmaril (obviously from The Silmarilion.) Aerendil casts his into the sea. Sauron, created by Morgoth, possibly escapes imprisonment. There is a prophecy at the end that Morgoth will come back one day, and Arrendil will also, to stop him.) (Aerendil is a grear seafairer who is half-eleven also, and of course has one of the silmarils:

This is the first novel in era 1 of the Mistborn series. The Main character is Vin, who joins the rebel named Kelsier’s slave rebellion. There is an awesome and detailed hard magic system, and the plot also centers around heists, espionage, romance and a conspiracy to assassinate the Lord Ruler, the evil leader of the society.
