Newest Mindgasms Quickie on the grim/dark epic fantasy series by Steven Erikson called Malazan: Book of the Fallen. I talk about my theory that it is Postmodern literature, meaning that we follow unrelialbe narrators, examine historical and political issues, and it does not follow a traditional narrative structure at all. There are no main characters, no standard plot, no clear distinctions between good and evil, The series is nothing like the Tolkien classic fantasy tropes of a band of noble heroes going on an epic quest to defeat evil and save the world.

Mindgasms Book Review on Gardens of the Moon, the first entry in the Malazan Book of the Fallen grim/dark epic fantasy series, by Steven Erikson. These are notoriously confusing and complex, yet well-loved novels by many hardcore fantasy nerds. I stay away from spoilers in this video, focusing on the characters along with the fascinating magic system and awesome fantasy creatures.
