Newest Mindgasms Book Review that is part 11 in my series on the post-structuralist philosopher/historian, Michel Foucault’s “The History of Sexuality: Volume 1.” This video is about what he calls ruptures in the mechanisms of sexual oppression between the 17th and 20th centuries, which involved the lessening of various taboos. They included the freedom to discuss sex more openly, the increased tolerance of sex outside of marriage, the decreased demonization of anyone classified as a “pervert,” laws around these becoming less strict, along with the ability for people to discuss the natural process of sexuality as part of healthy childhood development.

Mindgasms Book Review that is part 10 in my series on the Post-Structural philosopher and historian, Michel Foucault’s book called The History of Sexuality: Volume 1. This video is about the way that societies have looked at incest in the family unit, and made laws about it, along with how these have changed throughout history. The culture and laws around incest changed during The Enlightenment in the 1700s.
