I recent;y got back into Stoicism and re-read Epictetus’ book called The Art of Living. The lessons in it have helped me deal with my own personal problems lately, such as anxiety, depression and OCD. I know that many others are inspired by Stoicism as well, so hopefully these maxims can help others. The one that I cover in this video is “Know What You Can Control and What You Can’t.” I explain how this principle has helped me with issues that everyone has to deal with, and how the famous Serenity Prayer copied it:
